Burn Self-Portrait

Dirt, Wood, Fire.

January 2014.

A layered self-portrait that was used to explore how our inner-self is a permanent part of who we are. If altered we can end up with scars that deform the image we hold of ourselves.

Using fire as a medium, a permanent design was created and any alterations would further scar the composition.
